THE Zambia Union of Financial institutions and Allied workers (ZUFIAW) has said there is need for the employers in the country to pay employees handsomely to guarantee high productivity and mass production.
ZUFIAW general secretary Chingati Msiska said it was imperative to ensure that employees were compensated for the work they do to guarantee the economic growth of any organsation.

Mr Msiska said this on Tuesday during the signing ceremony of the new collective agreement between ZUFIAW and the Zambia Building Society (ZNBS)
During the same occasion, ZNBS managing director Joseph Chikolwa said going forward the society would be transparent in terms of costs incurred so that it could reflect the true position of its financial performance.
He said the financial performance of the society was the subject of the negotiations as workers were concerned about it.
