AIRTEL Zambia has described the ‘Wina Big’ promotion as a great success as it showcased the depth of the company’s network services and products.
Airtel Networks Zambia Plc customer experience director Joseph Kafwariman said the promotion was a great success in that it showed the diversity of winners in terms of demographics and geographical location which was a huge testament on how far-reaching the network as well as the products and Services were.
Mr Kafwariman was speaking in Lusaka yesterday when he handed over the third and final prize of a house worth K500,000 to Mr Wezi Nsabilwa, a Chawama resident.
He said the company drew winners from all parts of Zambia such as Mufumbwe, Mansa and Nakonde among them.
Mr Kafwariman said the promotion was not a typical scratch and win it type but was accessible by all customers who topped up with K2 or more and there were no registration costs attached.
The promotion was aimed at giving back meaningful prizes to the community.
“Our customers stood a chance of winning fantastic prizes like the house we will be handing over today, education support worth K10,000
fully paid trips to Brazil in July 2014 and daily cash prizes of K100.
“We launched the Wina Big promotion in January this year 2014 to signal our celebrations for Zambia’s 50 years of independence, our Golden
Jubilee and also to say thank you to our loyal customers for the continued support,” Mr Kafwariman said.
Airtel would this year give back more to the community through the various corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives that it had undertaken, like school adoptions, hospital refurbishments and talent identification programmes.
Airtel has given away three houses valued at
K500,000 each amounting to K1.5m, 24 education scholarships worth K10,000 each amounting to K220,000, 12 fully paid trips to
Brazil this year amounting to K393,600 and 840 cash prizes amounting to K84,000 in a promotion valued K2,207,600.
