Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has appealed to party members in Northern Province to unite for development to take place in the area.
Mr Kabimba said in the absence of unity among members, the party could easily disintegrate and be destroyed by its enemies.
He was speaking when he toured constituency and district offices in Kasama.
Mr Kabimba appealed to cadres to rally behind the leadership of President Michael Sata and explain the party’s policies to the people.
He noted that Northern, Luapula, Copperbelt and Lusaka provinces formed the winning formula for the PF, adding that the party was still strong in these areas.
Mr Kabimba, who is Justice Minister, said the PF had embarked on numerous projects around the country.
He said the party would soon launch a mobilisation drive in all the districts in Northern Province.
The secretary general donated K5, 000 to the party for operations in Kasama. He said members must be ready for action and build the PF’s image.
At the same occasion, provincial vice-chairperson Peter Mwansa said the party was strong in the province.
Mr Mwansa said party leaders would not allow detractors to divide the party, especially in Kasama. – ZANIS
