FAZ Division One South and North leaders, Nkwazi and Kalulushi Modern Stars will this afternoon be aiming at collecting maximum points to maintain top slots in their various divisions respectively.
The bottom of the table sees City of Lusaka host Luena Buffaloes hoping to find a winning formula after the engagement of Chris ‘Gazza’ Tembo while in the northern zone, pressure is mounting on Lime Hotspurs to start winning and climbing the ladder.
Riflemen v Nkwazi
Nkwazi’s stay at the top of the table comes under test this afternoon when the league leaders take on fourth-placed Riflemen needing a win as a defeat might see Lusaka Dynamos taking over leadership with a win over Young Stars.
The ‘Policemen’ lead the log with 16 points followed by Dynamos and Luena Buffaloes on 13 points while Riflemen are on 11 points. Nkwazi dropped two massive points against City of Lusaka last weekend allowing Dynamos to cut their lead to three from five points.
Dynamos face an equally tough assignment away in Chipata and will be hoping the results go in their favour in the Riflemen versus Nkwazi game to assume top slot on the table on goal difference.
Luena make a long trip to Woodlands Stadium to face second from bottom City of Lusaka in a match that could equally see them going top should the top two falter in their respective matches.
Lumwana v Kalulushi
Leaders Kalulushi Modern Stars take on Lumwana Radiants aiming to maintain top slot knowing too well that nothing than a victory would see promotional chasers Premium Sport and Kasanshi Dynamos take advantage should they win their respective matches.
Kalulushi are top with 12 points, just one better than both Premium and Kansanshi who are separated by goal difference.
Premium have a home tie against Wanderers, whose venue Shine Stadium is undergoing renovations, and should expect a tough match against the Mufulira side lying eighth on the log with nine points.
Kansanshi need to bounce back to winning ways following last weekend shocking 2-0 defeat to Gomes when they take on a Chambishi side that has managed nine points from the opening six games.
