FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) technical director, Honour Janza has tipped the national under-20 players to work hard if qualification to the Senegal 2015 Africa Youth Championships (AYC) is to be achieved.
Janza said after a training session at Independence Stadium in Lusaka that it would be only through hard work and serious dedication to duty that will see the team qualify for AYC.
He reminded the lads on the importance of staying focused and paying attention to what the coaching bench is teaching.
Zambia plays Mozambique, who eliminated Namibia 4-2 on aggregate in the preliminary round, on May 10 in Maputo in the first round first leg with the return clash set for a fortnight.
“Now that we have known our opponents it’s time to put in all our best and make sure we go to Maputo with only one mission to conquer and make Zambia proud,” Janza said.
“The fact that you have been called here means you have the potential to be part of this family and therefore, you should have self-confidence and belief that you can represent your country at this level” he told fazfootball.com.
Janza also encouraged the new players to the squad not to feel intimidated especially that they are coming from junior age groups.
