Happy new 2014 to you all, we thank God we are here to face new challenges and again be of help to the needy.

2013 was full of challenges but most importantly, we as a public were not starved of information through either print media, radio or television.

Congrats to our gallant journalists and editors.

One thing that however still stands unattended to is the law on the display of prices in our shops and I wonder whether inspectors from the Competetion and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) having been following up this very important matter to enforce the law.

Its very cumbersome to always have to call a sales lady to ask for a price of an item when it could have been made easy by a mere display.

Is it because of the general belief that in Zambia there is no fixed price? No that cannot be condoned.

Most culpable are boutiques, some chemists, some liquor shops, Mini Marts, to mention but a few and we would like to urge CCPC to rise to the occasion this year to make a difference because the Patriotic Front Government has already passed that deliberate policy; we now need action from the enforcers.
