VICE-PRESIDENT  Guy  Scott has urged  people of Central  Province  to embrace   the  vision of the  ruling Patriotic  Front (PF)  whose plans are to ensure that development  is  taken to all  corners  of the  country.
Dr  Scott said  Central  Province  had  in the past been  dominated by  the opposition  making it  difficult to deliver developmental programmes and  that the Government  would  only be  able  to deliver on its campaign promises  if  the  people of  the  province embrace the ruling party.
Speaking when he addressed  party  officials  from Chisamba and Chibombo at  Fringila  lodge yesterday at a party  mobilisation meeting attended by  PF  Secretary General  Wynter Kabimba and his deputy Bridget  Atanga among other party officials, Dr  Scott  said  the  PF has  committed  itself to taking  development to all  corners of the country.
He said although  PF  won some  parliamentary seats  in the  province, it was of the view  that  it needed  to work  hard  and  ensure that it  had more seats in the  province.
“I want to state that  Central Province  is  still a province dominated by the opposition but we  will  need to work  hard  and get serious with our party mobilisation  programmes and  we should stop crying every time  we lose elections,“ he said.
He  explained that  the party has been losing elections because of divisions and lack of  support for each other and  appealed  to members to remain steadfast and  move the party  forward.
Speaking earlier,  Mr  Kabimba  who is  Justice Minister  rebuked some  members who have  turned the  party into a gossip industry instead  of  mobilising the  members, adding that  time to start mobilising  was now.
He warned that  the  party  would not sit  and watch people  with  no interest  for the PF continue to destroy it and that those  found  wanting would be  dealt with.
Mr Kabimba said  PF  had  a mandate  to ensure  its developmental  agenda was not  derailed due to selfish individuals.
He  further  appealed  to  party  organs  to  ensure that there were no  squabbles  when adopting  people to  stand  on positions  adding that  if  that  continues, it had the  capability  of destroying  the party.
He said  members  should  avoid  harbouring  personal interests when adopting candidates saying that  the party  lost  the  Katuba by-election  because  of misunderstandings among the members and that should serve as a lesson.
