AGRICULTURE and Livestock Minister Wylbur Simuusa has said Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) leader Edith Nawakwi should desist from commenting on issues she does not understand.
Mr Simuusa said in a statement in Lusaka yesterday that at the rate Ms Nawakwi was going, her dreams of becoming Republican President would not be achieved.
He expressed disappointment at what he described as a high level of ignorance displayed by the FDD leader, when she featured on last Thursday’s edition of “Let the People Talk” programme on Radio Phoenix.
Ms Nawakwi accused Cabinet Ministers of failing to perform and that they only acted on presidential directives instead of taking up leading roles.
“I wish to express my utter disappointment at the high levels of ignorance displayed by FDD leader, Ms Nawakwi, during last Thursday’s programme. My advice to her is that she should desist from commenting on issues she does not understand because at the rate she is going, she will never achieve her dream of ever becoming president of Zambia,” Mr Simuusa said.
He said that it was becoming clear why FDD was near extinction owing to alleged failure by Ms Nawakwi.
During the programme, Ms Nawakwi accused the ministers of failing to provide leadership.
