GREAT leaders inspire and motivate people. Leaders stand for something far greater than themselves, they promote peace, justice, equality, positive change and good values.
The Government needs to continue helping young people build resilience to cope with the responsibilities of leadership by ensuring that many youths are considered in key Government positions.
Youths should provide their input and advice to the Government through a lot of channels.
I encourage all young people across Zambia to start participating in governance of our country in whatever, way possible so that together we can change Zambia for better.
Leadership is about influence and helping others achieve their dreams.
Being a leader is about showing the way, not ‘telling the way’.
It is a challenge to young people to start providing information that influences Government decision on youth challenges.
We have living examples of those who started when they were young to contribute to the well-being of the country. I have in mind Vernon Mwaanga and Kenneth Kaunda our first President.
