PROTECTING children from violence, exploitation, and abuse is an integral component of protecting their rights to survival, growth and development.
Child protection must be everyone’s business so that the safety and welfare of children can be guaranteed.
If anyone suspects any child of being at risk of being abused, they should contact the law enforcers without any delay. Alternatively, talk to a teacher, health staff who will be willing to assist and give support and advice.
We need to live child protection in that all the activities we do on a daily basis should be thinking of protecting the rights of children. Children living in the poorest households are most likely to be engaged in child labour because of poverty. One way of dealing with the problem of protecting children is to reduce the poverty levels.
