THE Zambia Cricket Union (ZCU) will this weekend hold its annual general meeting in Kabwe.
ZCU president Reuben Chama said the meeting, been non-elective, will deal with matter arising from minutes of the last AGM as well as the treasurers’ annual reports.
Chama said the meeting would also look at audited annual report and will appoint a patron and such honorary office bearers as may from time to be considered necessary and also the appointing auditors for the current year.
Meanwhile, the ZCU has this year conducted already conducted a Level One coaching course that attracted 18 sports teachers and coaches drawn from various towns on the Copperbelt as well as from Kasama in Northern Province and Lusaka.
The course was held at Bharat Sports Club in Luanshya last month whose aim was to broaden the coaches knowledge and for them to understand the basic fundamental principles and teaching methods involved in cricket.
According to the ZCU report to the Africa Cricket Union (ACU) newsflash for February, the participants were also taught how to conduct a coaching session.
