China’s Africa trade partner Yiwu records 12p.c annual growth

CHINA’S Yiwu International Trade City and Africa’s largest trade partner recorded trade volumes with the continent totaling 740.27 billion yuan (US$104 billion) from 2014 to 2023 with an average annual growth of 12.1 per cent.
The international trade city, the largest wholesale market for general products with more than 10,000 exhibiting millions of various goods daily has over 2,500 African businesses from more than 50 countries.
Deputy Editor-In-Chief of Jinhua Media Group in Zhenjiang Province Yachu Yang said in 2023, Jinhua’s exports to Africa first broke 100 billion yuan ($14 billion) to record about 106.64 billion yuan ($14.8 billion) accounting for 34.4 per cent of the total export value of Zhenjiang Province to Africa.
