GOVERNMENT wants the Chipolopolo to qualify for the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on home soil when they face champions Ivory Coast next week Friday as a win will be a befitting independence gift to the country.
Zambia is in second place in Group G with seven points and two points behind Ivory Coast while Sierra Leone are third with four points followed by Chad with two points.
In an interview yesterday, Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu urged the Chipolopolo to seal their AFCON ticket by beating defending champions Ivory Coast on November 15.
