Japanese firms explore Zambian ties

THE Government is eager to collaborate with international investors as well as stakeholders to harness the country’s vast arable land and water resources in enhancing agricultural productivity through innovation.
Zambian ambassador to Japan, Tobias Mulimbika said the agriculture sector had been identified in the eighth National Development Plan as one of the main pillars to drive Zambia’s economic growth.
Dr Mulimbika said during a business dinner for five Japanese start-up companies in Lusaka recently that the Government was committed to creating an efficient, competitive and sustainable agriculture sector.
