PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has said that financial institutions are putting up a financing package where the media can also benefit to come out of the challenges being faced as a result of the power crisis caused by the drought. He also challenged the media to be credible and genuine to retain their audiences in face of social media where people were consuming misinformation at every moment. He said Zanaco was already putting up a financing package where the media could also benefit. The President said at the Media Owner Association of Zambia (MOAZ) annual general meeting and conference that the media was also affected by energy crisis but because the debt restructuring had been resolved there were savings that could take care of the media interests.
