FORMER President Edgar Lungu yesterday lost his bid to have three Constitutional Court (ConCourt) judges recuse themselves from presiding over his eligibility case. ConCourt president Margaret Munalula, her deputy Anold Shilima and judge Maria Kawimbe refused to recuse themselves because the allegations by Mr Lungu against them were untrue and malicious. In a ruling delivered by Mr Justice Shilima, the judges refused to recuse themselves and said they would preside over the matter. Mr Justice Shilima said Mr Lungu’s allegations against them were malicious because judges based their decisions on merit
