A COUPLE and their 40 year-old-daughter have been burnt to death after the house they were sleeping in caught fire in Kitwe.
The couple’s grand-daughter aged 11 months was rescued through the window by neighbours and was currently in hospital.
Copperbelt police chief Peacewell Mweemba said police were investigating the cause of the fire.
Mr Mweemba said yesterday the incident happened on Wednesday between 21:00 and 21:30 hours at a house on Eagle Street in Nkana East.
He said Faith Mwale, 38, of Ndeke Village, Kitwe reported to police that her uncle’s house caught fire.
He identified the deceased as Benedict Bwalya, 72, wife Josephine Bwalya, 60, and the daughter Mutale Bwalya, 40.
