THE Government has said that adaptation and better management of the country’s water resources are crucial in addressing significant threats that effects of Climate Change pose to food production.
Ministry of Agriculture assistant director for crops, Alick Daka says the bad experience the country has in terms of drought during the 2023-2024 farming season is a reminder that Climate Change is real.
Mr Daka said this necessitates the need to begin thinking outside the box in terms of agricultural production.
He was speaking during a stakeholder consultative workshop to review the implementation progress of the efficient agricultural water use and management enhancement in Paddy Fields project
