Zambia records K14bn trade surplus

ZAMBIA has recorded a trade surplus of K1.4 billion from January to July 2024 with an increase in exports and imports.
And the country’s annual inflation rate for August 2024 has increased to 15.5 percent from 15.4 recorded last month.
Zambia Statistics Agency Statistician General Goodson Sinyenga announced the latest trade surplus figures during the monthly bulletin dissemination in Kabwe yesterday.
Mr Sinyenga said the cumulative total trade increased by 34.8 percent in July this year which was K314.2 billion compared to July 2023 at K233.1 billion.
