‘Catholic Church valuable partner’

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has reassured that the New Dawn administration is not against the Catholic Church and considers it a valuable partner in development.
The president also condemned the recent incident in Kabwe were some police officers stormed the Kabwe Catholic Diocese Bishop Clement Mulenga’s office.
Mr Hichilema told over 400 Diocesan priests drawn from the 11 dioceses in the country that his government was not against the Catholic Church as some of the Cabinet Ministers, Secretary to the Cabinet, deputy Secretary to the Cabinet were all Catholics.
