PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has encouraged traditional leaders in Zambezi District to amicably address succession disputes that have negatively affected the pace at which development is being attained in the area.
President Hichilema said conflict was retrogressive to development and therefore called on traditional leaders to find a better way of resolving differences.
“Am appealing to you to come together and resolve the differences which have led to the conflicts,” he noted.
Speaking when he officiated at this year’s Likumbi Lya Mize traditional ceremony in Zambezi district yesterday, The President stressed that Luvales and Lundas were one people and as such should live in peace and unity.
