PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says the Government remains receptive to the Church’s guidance and counsel, acknowledging its vital role in the country’s development.
The President said this in Lusaka yesterday during the Anglican Church’s consecration service held at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, for John Kafwanka, Dennis Milanzi, and Emmanuel Chikoya as bishops.
He thanked the Anglican Church for serving the nation with love, preaching unity and peace for good leadership and the attainment of national development.
Mr Hichilema said that the Church played a significant role in ensuring that the nation developed according to the aspirations due to its stance of love and unity.
