ZDA attracts $8.9bn investments in New Dawn’s 3-year reign

THE Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has in the first three years of the New Dawn Administration – 2021 to 2024, attracted investments worth US$8.9 billion, translating into the creation of more than 36,000 jobs.
ZDA Director General Albert Halwampa has attributed this to the country’s conducive investment climate, buoyed by President Hakainde Hichilema’s good leadership and hard work in mobilising investments for Zambia.
Speaking to journalists in Lusaka yesterday, Mr Halwampa said the country had in the same period received investment pledges worth $54 billion.
“The $8.9 billion was recorded from 440 companies out of the 1,048 companies registered between 2021 and 2024.
