PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has commissioned the Chamboli and Chimwemwe Level One hospitals built at a cost of US$46 million in Kitwe.
Speaking at the two separate events yesterday, the President said the state-of-the-art health facilities would help take health services closer to the people.
Mr Hichilema said the new hospitals were a clear manifestation of the United Party for National Development (UPND)’s manifesto of further improving the health sector through decentralisation.
The hospitals would provide services to the residents of Chamboli, Wusakile, Chimwemwe and surrounding areas.
