THE Bank of Zambia (BoZ) has urged all business houses in the country to embrace on and support sustainable climate change initiatives in the communities they operate.
BoZ Governor Denny Kalyalya said that such efforts would contribute to repairing the ecosystem while enhancing inclusive and sustainable growth in the country.
Dr Kalyalya said this during a tree planting exercise at the Mumbwa Caves National Monument in Mumbwa District on Tuesday in commemoration of the central bank’s 60th anniversary.
“Our environment is facing numerous challenges from deforestation due to climate change-related impacts that have become more frequent and severe,” he said
