Correct PPP misconception – SAIPAR

A HUGE debt burden, shrinking fiscal space and infrastructure gaps in critical sectors like energy and transportation have reinvigorated Zambia’s Public Private Partnership (PPP) agenda, a policy brief has revealed.
The Southern African Institute of Policy Analysis and Research (SAIPAR) policy brief, however, shows that there was a misconception among many people about the PPP concept which need to be corrected.
The misconception was that the PPPs were a conduit of corruption as well as systematic privatisation, the brief indicates.
