THE Government has made significant strides in strengthening the national blood transfusion service, President Hakainde Hichilema has said.

He cited measures such as reliance on voluntary non-remunerated blood donations, constructing 20 blood storage and distribution hubs in the 10 provinces of Zambia with partner support, translating into two blood storage hubs per province.
