VICE-PRESIDENT W.K Mutale-Nalumango was yesterday among a cross-section of citizens who paid tribute and offered messages of condolence on the passing of 61-year-old former First Lady Maureen Kakubo Mwanawasa.
Ms Mutale-Nalumango visited Ms Mwanawasa’s funeral home in Lusaka’s Roma Park area yesterday and took time to comfort both Mwanawasa and Kakubo families.
“We have learnt of the demise of the former first lady, Mrs Maureen Kakubo Mwanawasa with deep shock and sorrow. We join her family and indeed the nation, in prayer,” Ms Mutale-Nalumango said in a post on her Facebook page, earlier yesterday.
