PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has urged Xcalibur Smart Mapping, a company engaged to undertake a high resolution aerial geophysical survey for minerals in Zambia to expedite works if the country is to realise full value of its minerals.
The President said yesterday when he launched the high resolution aerial geophysical survey that Zambians should support the project because it would provide information on what minerals were available and where, so that the mining sector could be well organised.
He said to achieve three million tonnes of copper production in 10 years, there was need for mineral mapping which was an essential ingredient towards the vision.
