THE Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation (ZAFFICO) plc says the Kawambwa plantation is its key strategic area in sustaining the demand for treated poles both on the local and export market due to the high growth rate of eucalyptus trees in the area
The company has started harvesting eucalyptus trees for the first time since the plantation was established 10 years ago.
ZAFFICO Head of Commercial Ireen Chipili said the company was targeting to harvest 130,000 trees between August and September this year.
