‘K16.8bn injected into economy in July’

GOVERNMENT released K16.8 billion in July for developmental programmes and general public service delivery, with Finance and National Planning Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane saying the flow of funds from the Treasury is a sign of policy effectiveness and consistency.
Dr Musokotwane said the New Dawn administration’s policies had helped the economy to remain afloat despite the energy and food security challenges Zambia was currently grappling with.
This is according to a statement issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Treasury Felix Nkulukusa yesterday.
“Our policies have helped the economy to remain buoyant, despite energy and food security challenges,” Dr Musokotwane said.
