Capital markets record 13.5 per cent growth

THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has observed a 13.35-per cent increase of total savings in the capital markets during the second quarter of 2024.
SEC Chief Executive Officer, Philip Chitalu said the total savings in capital markets increased from K102.6 billion recorded in the first quarter of 2024 to K118.5 billion thereby representing a 13.5-per cent increase.
Mr Chitalu said during the quarterly media briefing in Lusaka yesterday that the commission had during the period under review observed increases in value across various capital markets sub-categories.
