COPPER Queens Rachael Kundananji says the 6-5 loss to Australia is unexplainable and more than a heartbreak.
The shocking defeat in Nice sees Zambia’s hopes of a debut Olympics knockout stage appearance as one of the best two third-placed teams in doubt, as the team sits bottom of Group B on zero points from two games with a match left to play at the ongoing Paris 2024 Games.
A hat trick from Barbra Banda and a brace from Kundananji was not enough to help the Bruce Mwape-drilled side as they blew away a 5-2 lead to lose against the Matildas.
In an interview after the match, Kundananji admitted blowing away such a big lead did not make any sense.
