CRACKS have emerged in the loose United Kwacha Alliance (UKA), with National Democratic Party (NDP) leader Saboi Imboela stating that it does not need the Patriotic Front (PF) or former president Edgar Lungu for it to survive.
This is after an audio of PF member Chanoda Ngwira went viral saying that Mr Lungu would be the UKA candidate for the 2026 elections because the other members did not have much to offer.
In an audio recording sent to the alliance’s WhatsApp group, Ms Imboela was heard stating that the UKA alliance was not birthed by the PF but that it was just allowed to join.
