NAPSA injects $200m in Maamba power project

THE National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) has invested US$200 million in financing phase two of the Maamba Collieries power generation expansion project.
The project which is starting this month, will see the development of a 300 Megawatts (MW) modern, technologically advanced and environmentally friendly power plant.
This would be in addition to another existing 300 MW developed under the Maamba-phase one project, bringing total power generation by the firm to 600 MW in the next two years when the construction of the plant in the second phase is expected to be completed.
