Lusaka Golf Club owes LCC K4m

THE Lusaka City Council (LCC) has asked the bailiffs to pounce on the Lusaka Golf Club to help recover almost K4 million owed to it through unpaid land rates despite reminders dating back to last year.
This is according to an application to the Sheriff’s Office to grant the Lusaka City Council a Warrant of Distress to seize property worth K3, 933, 507 equivalent to what the club owes the local authority.
In a warrant of distress sent application to the Sheriff of Zambia and signed by LCC Director Legal Services, the Council wants the unpaid rates to be recovered and the club to also pay any other money related to the Sheriff fees.
