VICE-PRESIDENT W.K Mutale-Nalumango says cooperating partners have so far provided Zambia with US$511 million in drought relief support of the estimated US$940 million.
Ms Mutale-Nalumango said this was both in pledges and actual disbursements, with the support coming from institutions such as the World Bank and United Nations (UN) as well as countries such as Turkiye, among others.
She was speaking in Lusaka on Monday when she featured on a public forum organized by the News Diggers newspaper, Prime Television and Diamond Television, to discuss Government response interventions to the prevailing drought induced by the El Nino climate phenomenon.
