KONKOLA Copper Mines (KCM) has awarded miners a 20 per cent salary increment and elated mine unions described the move as a game changer.
Vedanta Resources director of communications Masuzyo Ndhlovu said in a statement yesterday that KCM signed a collective agreement covering a wide range of benefits including a 20 percent salary increment.
“Last Friday July 5, 2024 signed collective agreements with five workers’ unions fostering a collaborative and productive work environment,” Mr Ndhlovu said.
