THE Southern African Development Community (SADC) is still grappling with pockets of vulnerability and insecurity, particularly in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where the negative Forces continue to threaten peace.
Speaking during the opening meeting of senior officials of the SADC Ministerial Committee of the organ in Lusaka yesterday, Permanent Secretary International Relations and Cooperation Etambuyu Anamela Gundersen said the situation remained of grave concern to SADC Member States and the rest of the African continent.
She called for concerted efforts in rendering support to the SADC mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in its quest to bring about lasting peace to Eastern DRC.
