PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says the Zambian Judiciary should not deny justice to those that seek it by delaying disposal of cases.
He informed Chief Justice Mumba Malila that when the President was incarcerated for 127 days on a Treason charge under the Patriotic Front regime, he had met some suspects who had been behind bars for up to 20 years without their cases being disposed of.
The President said this during the Requiem Church Service of Zambia’s first indigenous and longest serving Chief Justice Annel Silungwe at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka yesterday.
