PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has asked the Church to partner with the Government in mitigating the adverse effects of drought and complement in the provision of services in the health and education sectors.
The President said yesterday that the Government and the Church were not competitors, but partners who worked for the people regardless of their affiliation.
Mr Hichilema said this during celebrations to mark 125 years of the Reformed Church in Zambia (RCZ)’s existence, that there was need to work together in drought response affecting 84 districts.
