THE Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has ordered that 10 Higer buses valued at K26 million and more than K1.5 million cash belonging to former deputy Inspector General of Police Charity Katanga be forfeited to the State.
This followed a Conviction-Based Forfeiture application which the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) had lodged in a case involving Katanga.
The 10 Higer buses worth US$2,030,000 and the K1,522,005 cash held in Chibeka Express Limited Account maintained with a named bank were deemed to be proceeds of crime.
