9 PF members lose petition against Sampa

THE Constitutional Court (ConCourt) has dismissed a petition by nine Patriotic Front (PF) members who were seeking a declaration that PF president Miles Sampa and his secretary general Morgan Ng’ona, have no authority to expel them.
Delivering the ruling, ConCourt Presided Margaret Munalula sitting with other Judges said the court had no jusrisdiction to hear the matter because it did not concern the constitution.
This is in a matter in which nine PF Members of Parliament petitioned the ConCourt seeking a declaration that Mr Sampa and Mr Ng’ona had no requisite authority to expel them from the party and should not be holding themselves as party president and Secretary general.
