Ndola farmer in court over wife’s murder

A THIRTY-NINE-YEAR-OLD farmer of Ndola has appeared in court for the murder of his wife whose body was found dumped in a shallow well.
The incident is believed to have happened after the couple had a domestic dispute.
Moses Simbeye of Chipulukusu Township is facing one count of murder, committed on February 28, this year involving Ireen Chanda.
When the case came up before Judge Derrick Mulenga for continuation of trial, Eliza Kaila, 43, of Nkwazi Township informed the court that on the day the incident happened, she was at home when she sent a person to go and check if the charcoal that was smoking could be removed as it was ready to be sold.
