‘Economy set to rebound’

ECONOMISTS are optimistic that the country’s economy will soon rebound despite having declined from about 4.7 per cent in 2023 to 2.7 per cent this year, following Zambia’s successful completion of the debt restructuring process and the revamping of the mining sector.
Mwiya Ikabonga and Chomba Chomba said in separate interviews that despite the current situation, the country’s economy would rebound because of the Government’s move to revamp the mining sector and its ability to complete the debt restructuring process.
