AfDB projects 4.5 p.c. economic growth

THE African Development Bank (AfDB) has projected that Zambia’s economy will grow by 4.5-per cent in both 2024 and 2025, as the mining and manufacturing sectors continue to recover, while the global copper prices rebound.
AfDB says in its 2024 African Economic Outlook report that inflation is expected to decelerate from 9.3-per cent in 2024 to 7-per cent in 2025, and will be driven by falling food and fuel prices.
