Govt receives K30.6m relief support

THE Government has received K30.6 million from partners as part of continued support under the Drought Response Plan.
Speaking during a Press briefing in Livingstone yesterday, Information and Media Minister Cornelius Mweetwa said the funds were received in the form of logistical support and donations of food items and other supplies.
Mr Mweetwa, who is also Chief Government Spokesperson, said the Government and other stakeholders, through the cluster system, had started responding both in cash and in-kind to support all the 84 drought affected districts.
