Drought: WFP gives Zambia $3.3m

THE World Food Programme (WFP) has given Zambia US$3.3 million to help the country respond to the drought.
And President Hakainde Hichilema has commended WFP for the comprehensive support including the technical, logistical and relief assistance in the form of cash and food to communities vulnerable to the drought.
He said yesterday after WFP executive director Cindy McCain paid courtesy call on him at State House in Lusaka.
