VICE-PRESIDENT W.K Mutale-Nalumango says the minerals that Zambia is endowed with have over the years failed to make a remarkable impact on the national economy and the citizens’ livelihood partly because they are sold in primary raw form at wholesale prices.
Ms Mutale-Nalumango said the New Dawn government was encouraged by value addition to Zambia’s minerals and noted that it was the route that the Women in Extractive Industry, Trade and Value Addition Association of Zambia (WETVAAZ) had taken.
