Kansanshi Marathon to dish out K500,000

MINING giant, Kansanshi Mine has set aside over K500, 000 in prize money for this month’s Kansanshi Marathon, making it the highest-paying 42 kilometre race in the country.
Kansanshi Mine Corporate Affairs Specialist Clinton Masumba said yesterday that the mine was committed to elevating the standard of marathons in Zambia.
He said the mine would keep up with the high standards set last year, its inaugural year, where it had attained world accreditation by making sure it continued being Zambia’s top marathon attracting even East African runners.
The marathon is set for May 25 in Solwezi.
